Reporting to: Senior Vice President
Responsibilities:
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Manage/facilitate in all the planning, design, project delivery methods and procurement strategies on complex projects
Assist in preparation of responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s
Ensure estimating department has most current information in order to prepare accurate estimates
Oversea the schedule during the pre-construction stage and work closely with internal departments
Manage and maintain consistent deliverables
Responsible for the project from the RFP stage until Start-up of the project
Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors
Mentoring of staff members
Constructability reviews
Experience:
15 to 20 years of experience as a Project Director with major complex projects in the Construction industry specifically with hospitals or large institutional or industrial complexes
Previous field/site experience required
Experience in PPP and design build business models
Familiarity of Electrical/Mechanical Coordination Management
Experience with Regulatory Authorities, Unions and City of Toronto
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate to varied audiences
Primavera P6
Experience leading successful team ventures, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities and subcontractors
Post-secondary degree required
Engineering Degree and/or Project Management Professional Designation an asset
