Reporting to: Senior Vice President

Responsibilities:

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Manage/facilitate in all the planning, design, project delivery methods and procurement strategies on complex projects
• Assist in preparation of responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s
• Ensure estimating department has most current information in order to prepare accurate estimates
• Oversea the schedule during the pre-construction stage and work closely with internal departments
• Manage and maintain consistent deliverables
• Responsible for the project from the RFP stage until Start-up of the project
• Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors
• Mentoring of staff members
• Constructability reviews

Experience:

• 15 to 20 years of experience as a Project Director with major complex projects in the Construction industry specifically with hospitals or large institutional or industrial complexes
• Previous field/site experience required
• Experience in PPP and design build business models
• Familiarity of Electrical/Mechanical Coordination Management
• Experience with Regulatory Authorities, Unions and City of Toronto
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate to varied audiences
• Primavera P6
• Experience leading successful team ventures, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities and subcontractors
• Post-secondary degree required
• Engineering Degree and/or Project Management Professional Designation an asset
