Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer and as Sr. Information Security Advisor, this is a highly visible business advisor role with a solid technical background. This will be accomplished by identifying and inserting yourself into the appropriate business processes and creating a program-specific information security framework. You will be asked to perform business impact analysis, security risk analysis and security assessments, in order to evaluate and provide program management with timely recommendations on security measures and solutions, as well as on improvements to business processes, where appropriate.

You will be expected to monitor for, and report non-compliance issues to senior management. Whenever warranted you will be asked to perform investigations to gather evidence to support recommendations for policy, process or system change, as well as for potential disciplinary and/or legal actions. You will also be expected to participate in the development of security policies, directives, procedures and standards that will be required to support the program.

Finally you will partake in the development and delivery of program-specific security awareness and training to support current and future information security initiatives, policies and directives, applicable laws and regulations, as well as any other program-specific issues. This will involve delivery of presentations on security issues to employees as well as to senior management.

You have a university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent work experience. Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), CISM, CISA, CGEIT and other security-related certifications a plus.

A minimum of fifteen (15) years of IT experience, including at least ten (10) years in information security, with experience on various platforms and systems. You have ability for translating corporate policy and strategic/business objectives into cost effective operational control mechanisms and auditable processes. You have proven track record implementing organizational changes to align operations with evolving business requirements.

Must have strong business acumen, be discrete, have strong ethics and demonstrated integrity. Ability to look for creative solutions to improve processes in order to meet business objectives. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with senior level management under minimal supervision is required. You have the capacity to quickly adapt to new situations in order to support a changing business environment.

Must have strong inter-personal and organizational skills. You demonstrate a good problem-solving ability, you have initiative and show sound judgment. Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under time constraints are required. Exhibit maturity, reliability and stability by adhering to commitments are critical in order to maintain business credibility. Strong oral and writing skills in English(French is an asset). Strong leadership, clear communications, presentation and entrepreneurship skills.
