The Senior Project Manager will liaise with clients, focus on project scope, budget and time controls, manage quality, project risk and staffing requirements to ensure excellent customer relations and successful project implementation. The Senior Project Manager will plan, organise and control projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. Emphasis is placed on working with the design office, the reporting and monitoring progress, planning and scheduling of work and manpower, construction and safety management, and project change management.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the SVP Projects
• Effectively manage various Projects, adhering to budgets, timelines and key deliverables.
• Manage the detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and safety of projects
• Manage the complete project life-cycle and knowledge areas ensuring compliance with project key performance indicators
• Provide feedback to Management and other Project Leaders
• Adhere to budgets by following projected resource needs and determine ongoing funding priorities
• Review technical reports and provide recommendations
• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage expenditure through the project life cycle
• Prepare time scheduler and manage implementation through project life cycle

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and with a team on a project
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5-10 years of project management experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with mineral processing plants
• Registered as a P.Eng. – Montreal and Ontario would be advantageous
