JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Manager is responsible for all financial accounting and related functions as well as administration processes for the international projects. The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of the full range of budgeting/forecasting, project accounting, and financial accounting and reporting from data entry to preparation of financial statements. Duties will focus on ensuring proper financial reporting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, both to local management and the holding company management. Some hands-on accounting and statement preparation will be required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Health and Safety:

Responsible for the use of all safety equipment according to Company rules and applicable legislation and ensures the proper use of personal protective equipment

General:
Manage the following functions:
o Project accounting (job cost and project based environment)
o Billings
o Accounts receivable
o Accounts payable
o Fixed assets
o General accounting including preparation of management and financial statements
Prepare monthly management statements
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
Analyze and report on statement results
Ensure proper internal controls are in place and functioning
Develop, support and/or champion business process automation initiatives
Work closely with operations management so as to be able to:
o Prepare timely budgets and forecasts
o Analyze and explain results
o Ensure best practices in managing data requirements and integrity, particularly with project controls personnel
Answer high-priority, highly analytical strategic questions to drive better understanding of business performance and to identify areas of opportunity.
Partner and collaborate with business owners to structure and deliver on-point analyses that inform business decisions
Build and manipulate models for scenario planning, ROI analyses, have a focus on developing data-based recommendations and solutions
Liaise with other corporate departments on policies and procedures
Liaise with financial managers at subsidiary companies
Mentor/coach and provide leadership to other members of the team
Maintain confidentiality with respect to company financials, employee and client information
Develop presentations for a range of audiences, including senior executives, with attention to detail, the ability to highlight the most important business topics, and a focus on actionable recommendations to address business needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Required: University degree with an accounting designation; CA, CMA or CPA

Work Experience
Required: Minimum of a few years leadership/management experience in a medium or large company
Experience in organizations undergoing change or rapid growth
Experience in a projects based environment
Experience working in projects in multi-country operations
Experience working in an ERP environment
